Marcus Stewart is a Huddersfield Town Legend. Consistently voted by fans as one of the best players ever to wear the blue and white stripes, Stewart signed for the club in the summer of 1996 from Bristol Rovers for 1.8 million pounds and scored 58 goals in 133 appearances. Marcus went on to become a top Premier League striker with Ipswich Town and was the Premier League’s top English striker in his first season.
In September 2022 Marcus made public his diagnosis of Motor Neuron Disease (MND). The disease came into the public consciousness with Rugby League Star Rob Burrow & and Rugby Union Legend Doddie Weir both having succumbed. The Rugby community were outstanding in supporting their stricken stars that had given so much to the Game – and now it is time for Terriers to do the same and support Marcus in his quest to raise money for research to fight this terrible disease.
